Research Associate vacancy in Department of Pharmacy, National University of Singapore

VACANCY FOR POSITION OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE  IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY
JOB DESCRIPTION
A full-time research associate position is available in providing support in administrative and research matters to the principal investigator. The appointee will assist in conducting research, reviewing medical records, inputting data, and performing data analysis as appropriate under supervision. 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Be responsible for research project logistics, including but not limited to purchasing equipment/materials, setting up study sites, and monitoring research progress.
2. Participate in fieldwork and conduct research projects at different practice sites , Prepare research protocol, conduct literature review, review medical records, provide lab test interpretation, manage survey administration
3. Data management: Data entry and cleaning, Data analysis and interpretation
4. Participate in administrative work and tasks, copying and office-related work
5. Assist in supervising student projects
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have
1.  Healthcare practitioner experience and/or familiarity with medical record review
2.  Basic skills using Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  A Masters degree in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health, or other health-related disciplines
2.  Familiarity with ICD-9 coding
3. Good statistical knowledge and skills in using SPSS and/or SAS
4.  Knowledge or training in pharmacoeconomics and/or pharmacoepidemiology
5.  A good understanding of study designs for clinical and epidemiological research
APPOINTMENT PERIOD: 10 months
A successful applicant can expect a monthly salary of S$3,800 to S$4,800 (includes employer’s CPF contribution and medical insurance premium), depending on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
