A walk-in-interview will be held in Institute of Wood Science & Technology, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore on 24-01-2012 at 10-00 AM for two Technical Assistants under ICFRE funded projects.
Project No. 1 “Effect of Treatment with micronized copper preservative on the strength, treatability and durability of selected wood species”
Project No. 2 “Utilisation of bambusa bambus (L) and Dendrocalamus strictus (Robx) as an alternative of wooden dunnage pallets”.
The position of Technical Assistants will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The engagement shall not be treated as regular employee of ICFRE/IWST.
Upper age limit: 28 years (age relaxation of 5years for SC/ST candidates is permissible).
Qualification: B.Sc / B. Tech. (any discipline).
Emoluments: Rs. 6,500/- Per month consolidated (likely to be revised as Rs. 8500/-)
Duration of the Project: upto 31st March, 2014 for the project No. 1, upto 31st March, 2013 for the project No. 2
Bio-data having photographs along with original certificates should be present at the time of interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The IITM - Summer Fellowship Programme of two months with stipend is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students through a goal oriented summer miniproject undertaken at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidates pursuing third year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.
