INTERVIEW
A walk-in interview is being
conducted for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the DST funded scheme
on “Establishing
National Hub for Healthcare Instrumentation Development” functioning at the Department of Animal
Biotechnology, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai – 600 007. The post is purely
temporary for about 3 years and carries
a pay of Rs. 12000/- + 1500 (HRA).
Qualifications: MSc / M Phil /
Ph.D in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry
/Applied sciences or related disciplines with First class or equivalent grade
with not less than 60% of marks
Candidates with full biodata are
requested to walk in to the Department for the written test and interview on
28.03.2012 at 11.00 AM with original certificates in support of age, qualifications,
photo ID card and experience certificate (if any). Working personnel are requested
to attend the interview with no objection letter from the present employer. No TA

for one Assistant post for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research
Council (BBSRC), United Kingdom funded collaborative research project on “Remote
integrated systems for controlling nematodes using emerging technology for both
resource – poor and commercial farmers” (RISC-NET) at the Department of
Veterinary Parasitology, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai-600 007 for 2
years. The post is purely temporary and need based and they should not claim
regular employment at a later date.

QUALIFICATIONS: B.Com / B.Sc. Computer Science
with Computer knowledge and Typewriting. In addition, relevant xperience in office work, maintenance of records, accounts and purchase

10.30 A.M. A typing test for the testing the speed, accuracy, computer
knowledge and followed by interview would be held on the same day. The

JOB REQUIREMENT: Participation in outstation
fieldwork for collection of marine organisms from the coasts of India.
Isolation and maintenance of microbial cultures. Preparation of crude extracts
for biological screening, mass culture of microorganisms and bio-assay guided
isolation of antimicrobial compounds. The candidate should assist the project
leader in preparation of reports and should be able to work independently.
