Project Scientists & Research Associate posts( Stipend same as QUICK HIRE FELLOW & CSIR-NEHRU POSTDOC ) at IGIB, New DElhi

INSTITUTE OF GENOMICS AND INTEGRATIVE BIOLOGY
TEMPORARY PROJECT SCIENTISTS AND RESEARCH ASSOCIATES
Applications are invited for a maximum of four purely temporary project scientist and research associate positions in the CSIR- Ayurgenomics Unit (TRISUTRA) at IGIB. 
ELIGIBILITY: The minimum qualification for the Research associate position is submission of PhD thesis and a minimum of two publications. Desirable qualifications include expertise in Genomics or Genome informatics.
The minimum qualification for project scientist would be PhD with a minimum of two publications and an established expertise in genomics as well as handling high-throughput genomics platforms.
TENURE: Two years and extendible based on the performance. Positions would be co-terminus with the project.
REMUNERATION: Research associate will be given remuneration as CSIR Nehru Science Post doctoral fellows.   Remuneration of   project scientist would be as per CSIR Quick Hire Fellows and would be based on experience and qualifications as per the CSIR guidelines.
Selection would be through screening of the applications followed by personal interview of shortlisted candidates. Walk-in interview for Project Scientist/Research Assistant/Data entry operator at NIMR Field station, Rourkela, Orissa

The following positions are to be filled up on a temporary, contractual basis, co-terminus with the duration of a National Institutes of Health-funded project Center for the Study of Complex Malaria in India.
POST 1: Scientist B- Medical (Physician) (One): Rs. 41,563/- p.m. consolidated
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: MBBS Degree from a college recognized by MCI.
DESIRABLE: Experience in Infectious Diseases/Malaria, Basic Computer Skills, Fluency in English, Oriya and Hindi
AGE: Up to 35 years

POST 2: Research Assistant (One): Rs. 21,140/- p.m. consolidated
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. in Life/ Allied Sciences with field experience and knowledge of molecular biology techniques
DESIRABLE: Field experience in malaria, Good computer skills and experience with using MS Office, Fluency in English, Oriya and Hindi
AGE: Up to 28 years

POST 3: Data Entry Operator – Grade ‘A’ (One): Rs.15462/- p.m. consolidated
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate , preferably in Life Sciences with one year certificate /diploma in computer applications.
DESIRABLE:  Good computer skills and experience in using MS Office; scientific data handling and statistical data analysis; Administration & Accounts. Fluency in English, Oriya and Hindi.
AGE: Up to 28 years

AGE LIMIT: Age relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Central Govt. rules/orders and also for general category candidates in deserving cases upto the limit of possessing experience in Govt./Autonomous Bodies of Govt.  Place of duty: The contractual staff will be posted at the project site in Rourkela involving travel to field areas as deemed fit for the progress of the work.
DURATION: The engagement in the above posts would be co-terminus with the project and the persons would be engaged  initially for one year but the period of their engagement  may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the competent authority Interested and eligible candidates may appear  for a Walk-in-Interview together with their complete bio-data and photocopies of the  certificates/testimonials and the originals for verification before the Selection Committee at 10.30 A.M. on 16th January, 2012.  at NIMR Field Station, Sector 5, Rourkela, Odissa. JOB REQUIREMENT MB-1: Marine Bioinformatics, development, maintenance of database for various in-house requirements and development of tools and techniques to utilize biological information using in-silico process for modeling and validation
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The candidates are requested to note the following :
1. Candidates must be citizens of India.
