doctoral programmes in Technology, Science, Management & allied areas, and
also provides excellent ambience for academic research and co-curricular

considered for recruitment on higher grade pay [`7000/- and `8000/-], if he has
substantial professional and R&D experience supported with good number of
publications in leading journals of the field, the candidate being the lead
author.
3. Age Relaxation: Following age relaxation will be given to
candidates of different categories as per Govt. of India rules:
SC/ST candidates : 5 Years
SC/ST – PWD candidates : 10 Years
OBC [Non-Creamy Layer] candidates

Ph.D.
Relevant Experience : 10 years after Ph. D., or 13
years [not counting Ph.D. enrolment period] total out of which 7 years to be
after Ph. D. Including 3 years at Associate Professor level.
Other Essential
Requirements:
Two Ph. D.s guided in career as sole or principal supervisor, plus one ongoing.
The following during the past 4 years: (i) 3 papers in SCI journals; (ii) One
high value sponsored or consultancy project; (iii) Two self financed or four
Govt. sponsored short-term courses as coordinator and main teacher, (iv) Two
experiments or computational design projects added to teaching laboratories
where appropriate.
Additional Desirable Requirements: One or more patents; supervised
more than three students for Ph. D., Preparing E-Learning material. At least

papers in SCI journals; one Ph. D. guided as sole or principal supervisor. Two
projects ongoing or one ongoing plus one completed. One self financed or two
Govt. sponsored short-term courses offered. Two experiments or computational

Facilities extended
to the faculty members of MNNIT Allahabad
The Institute extends following
facilities to its faculty members as per norms, which may change from time to
time.
1. Financial assistance for
attending National/International Conferences for presenting paper or chairing
session, for sponsored training in India and abroad, membership of professional
societies etc. under the scheme of Cumulative Professional Development Allowance
[CPDA] limited to `1.00 lakh per annum subject to the maximum limit of `3.00
lakh in a block period of three years.
2. An initial Research Grant up
to `2,00,000/- for new faculty.
3. Provision for undertaking
consultancy and testing work as per Institute norms.
4. On campus residence [depending
on availability], club and transportation facilities on nominal charges.
5. Medical Facilities to faculty
and their dependent family members as per rules.
6. Telephone facility and
criteria based mobile facility.
7. Transfer TA on retirement.

mentioned above are indicative. Outstanding candidates associated in any other
areas may also be considered.
Important
Information
1. An applicant in employment
[Government/Semi Government Organizations] must send his application through
proper channel. For such candidates appointment on deputation/lien may be
considered. A “No Objection Certificate” from the employer must be submitted at
the time of interview in case the application is not routed through proper
channel.
2. The age relaxation as per
central government rules would be applicable for deputation.
3. Fresh appointees will be
covered under the New Pension Scheme [NPS-2004] as per Govt. of India rules.
4. Mere possession of the
prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for
interview.
5. Qualification and experience
may be relaxed by the competent authority at any point of time for outstanding
candidates.
6. The Institute reserves the
right to accept applications at any time and consider outstanding candidates
without application.
7. The applicant will be

10. Travelling Allowance [TA] is
admissible to the candidates called for interview as per the Institute norms.
TA will be admissible subject to maximum up to AC II Class by the shortest
route from the address mentioned in the Interview letter or the place of
journey to the Institute whichever is less, on submission of tickets of both
ways journey.

13. Caste Certificate (in
original) in the Central Govt. format must be produced at the time of
interview.
14. For OBC [Non-Creamy Layer]
candidates the caste certificate must be in the format applicable for
employment in Central Government organisations.
15. For PWD candidates, the
disability certificate must be issued by the Competent Medical Authorities as
applicable for employment in Central Government organisations. The final
selection will be made on the basis of the recommendations of a Medical Board
to be appointed for examining the physical disability.
