WALK- IN- INTERVIEW
Walk – in – Interview will be held on 8th December, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at this Directorate for the temporary post of 2 (two) Sr.Research Fellow under the Project entitled Development of climate resilient practice through nutritional, genetic and physiological strategies to enhance tolerance to heat stress in commercial and backyard poultry” for a period of 3 years i.e. upto 31-3-2014 or termination of the Project whichever is earlier.

QUALIFICATIONS:ESSENTIAL : M.V.Sc. in Poultry Science/Nutrition/Biochemistry /LPM/  M.Sc.Biochemistry.
DESIRABLE: Experience in feed analysis and analytical procedures. Genetic Manipulations 1 Essential: M.V.Sc. in Animal Genetics and Breeding(Molecular genetics) Poultry Science/ Animal  Biotechnology/Microbiology/M.Sc. Biotechnology.
DESIRABLE: Expertise in gene expression studies.
EMOLUMENTS: Pay `16,000 + H.R.A. per month. `18,000 + H.R.A. per month ( for Post Graduate in Veterinary Science)
DURATION OF THE PROJECT: 3 years from 2010-11 to 2013-14 upto 31-3-2014 or termination of the project whichever is earlier
AGE LIMIT: Below 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women. Relaxation of age admissible for SC/ST& OBC candidates as per Govt. of India/ICAR norms.
1. The Candidates should bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, one set of Photocopies of Certificates, Experience certificates if any, NOC from employer, if employed and a latest passport size Photograph at the time of interview.
2. The above position is purely temporary and coterminous with the Project. No T.A./ D.A. will be paid to any candidate to attend the interview.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
1. 1.      POST: Junior Research Fellows (JRF)(Two)
FELLOWSHIPS: Rs 16,000+ 20% HRA per month (First two years) and Rs18,000+ 20% HRA (third year) as per the project norms.
POSITION 1:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. degree in Environmental biology/Plant Sciences with 55% marks. Age should not be more than 28 years.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in Biology (Botany/Zoology/Chemistry) is preferred. Research experience in Photosynthesis/ Eco-physiology. Working experience in the field work. Some basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques. Preferably NET or GATE.
POSITION 2:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Sciences / Biochemistry with 55% marks. Age should not be more than 28 years.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in plant molecular biology research. The candidates should have hands on work experience in molecular biology techniques. Preferably NET or GATE.
2.      POST: TECHNICAL ASSISTANT(ONE)
STIPEND: Rs 10,000 per month.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. degree in Environmental biology/Plant Sciences/ Life Sciences with 55% marks.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Hands on experience with plant techniques.
3.      POST:FIELD ASSISTANTS( TWO)
STIPEND: Rs 8,000 per month.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc. degree in Biology.
DURATION OF PROJECT: 3 years (Purely Temporary).

Relaxation for age etc. will be as admissible in ICAR. No TA/DA or official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview. The posts are contractual, purely temporary and co terminus with the project without any provision for regularization. The competent authority reserves the right to cancel / postpone the interview without assigning any reason thereof. The competent authority shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the end of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
