QUALIFICATION:

Candidates having M.Sc. degree with at least 55% marks in any discipline of Life Science (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and any other related field) with two years post-M.Sc. research experience are eligible to apply. Research experience in Molecular Biology, Functional Genomics and Chickpea Transformation or related field will be preferred.

The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

COMPETENCIES:

Applications are invited for the post of One SRF on consolidated salary of Rs. 14,000/- (Rs. Fourteen thousand only) and HRA as per University norms per month under the project entitled “Registration of farmers’ varieties and model mechanism for benefit sharing under PPV&FR Act –Phase II”. Applicants possessing Ph.D/ M.Sc. degree in Agriculture/ Botany with Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology should apply on plain paper with following information to the Principal Investigator, Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding latest by 17.05.2012. Candidates fulfilling the qualification should appear for interview on 18/05/2012 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate interview letters will be issued and no TA / DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Selected candidate will have to make their own arrangement for house accommodation. The appointment shall be given on six monthly review basis.

PROJECT FELLOW: ~16,000/- PM for NET qualified and ~12000/-PM for Non-NET qualified)

POSITION(S): Two Positions.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Ecology with 55% Marks.

DESIRABLE: Valid CSIR-UGC NET cleared.

AGE: 28 years as on 10.05.2012

AGE RELAXATION: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried is allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years. (Up to 40 years for members of SC/STs)-No other women is entitled for such relaxation.
