Applications are invited for the post of
Junior Research Fellow [01 post] to work on the Department of Biotechnology,
Government of India, New Delhi (DBT) sponsered project entitled “Development of chloroplast transformation
system in sugarcane”.

COMPENSATION (PER
MONTH) Rs.16,000/-
per month Plus HRA as per Institute’s rules
EMOLUMENT: Approximate Rs. 211200/- per
annum
JOB
PROFILE:
Job profile includes working on
construction of chloroplast vectors, development of tissue culture material for
transformation, sugarcane transformation, development of transplastomics and
their analysis by various molecular techniques.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Candidate should be capable of
doing all tasks mentioned in Job Profile above. The successful candidate should
be highly self-motivated, energetic, work efficiently, and have a keen interest
in transgenic technology..
QUALIFICATION:
M. Sc. in Botany /Biotechnology/
Agricultural Biotechnology from any reputed University. Preferred NET/SET
cleared.
EXPERIENCE:
Preference will be given to those
having experience of 1-2 years in relevant area / project work done in suitable
area supported by thesis/ research publications.
TERMS &
CONDITIONS:
COMPENSATION: Rs.16,000/- per month plus HRA as
per the DBT norms.
The duration of appointment will
be initially for one year but extendable up to two years depending on
performance and availability of funds.
The post is purely temporary and co-terminus
with the project.
Only short listed candidates will
be called for interview.
Interview date will be
communicated to the selected candidates.
No TA/DA will be paid if called
for interview.
