WALK-IN INTERVIEW

Candidates possessing the following qualifications and experience are invited for a walk-in-interview for purely temporary position of three ‘Senior Research Fellow’ under a consultancy project ‘Post-restoration assessment of the ecology and fisheries diversity of Chilika lake’. Details of the position, vacancy, essential qualifications, desirables and experience required are as given below.

1.      POSITION: SRF

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: MFSc./ MSc. Zoology with Fish and Fisheries Science Specialization

DESIRABLES: Knowledge of computer application,desk top documentation; use of statistical softwares, knowledge of Oriya/ Bengali language

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years experience in fisheries research after obtaining the essential qualification.

2.      POSITION: SRF

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry

DESIRABLES: Computer application,desk top documentation,use of statistical softwares, knowledge of Oriya/ Bengali language

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years experience in fisheries research related to chemistry/ biochemistry after obtaining the essential qualification.

TENURE: The position is purely temporary, maximum up to sixty months or co-terminus with the project; however, candidates are liable to be terminated at any time, if their service, performance and conduct are not satisfactory.

REMUNERATION: Rs. 16000/- per month + HRA as admissible for the first two years and thereafter Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA as admissible.

PLACE OF WALK-IN-INTERVIEW: Administrative Building, Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR), S. N. Banerjee Road, Barrackpore, Kolkata-700 120, West Bengal.

DATE: 16th January 2012 TIME: 1030 hours

CONDITIONS: Maximum age limit as on the date of interview is 35 years for men and 40 years for women (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rule). Interested candidates, fulfilling the qualifications and experience, as mentioned above, are requested to appear for walk-in interview, on the date and venue indicated above, along with an application for the position applied for, addressed to the Director, CIFRI, Barrackpore, and detailed bio-data, affixed with recent passport size photograph of the candidate and copies of certificates in support of age, category (SC/ST/OBC), qualifications, experience, testimonials and other credentials, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, along with Originals of all these for verification. Candidates who are already working/ or in similar positions should produce no objection certificate obtained from their employer/ supervisor at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The selected candidates will be stationed either at Barrackpore or at the project site at Chilika Lake, Orissa as required from time to time and will have to conduct extensive fieldwork involving travel, survey of fish landing centers and extensive boating for sample collection.
