POST: RESEARCH ASSISTANT (Casual Employment, Freshwater Ecology Lab)
The Ecological Modelling, Informatics and Dynamics Group (Freshwater) is actively seeking suitable candidates for the position of research assistant to support various ongoing projects. This group is primarily involved in biomonitoring programmes and development of ecological protocols for assessment of the ecological health of freshwater systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in field studies including collection of animal and plant samples, photography and measurement of physicochemical parameters
• Examination, sorting and processing of specimens obtained during surveys
• Administrative support and facilitation for the project
• Data entry, processing, analysis and report writing
• Additional work related to ongoing projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• At least a degree in Environmental Science related discipline from recognized university
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without much supervision
• Candidates with a valid Class 3 driving license or equivalent license for driving in Singapore will be preferred
SALARY
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
