PROJECT DETAILS:
The proposed project is embedded into three current topics of the laboratory: small regulatory RNAs, CRISPR and protein quality control in the Gram-positive pathogenic flesh-eating bacterium, Streptococcus pyogenes but also Listeria monocytogenes.

POSITION DETAILS:
Starting in fall 2011 for a maximum period of 5 years. The successful candidate will participate in activities provided by the Umeå Centre for Microbial Research at Umeå University (http://www.ucmr.umu.se/) and the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine.

LOCATION:
MIMS (The Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) within the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine).

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Applicants must hold or anticipate receiving within the next months a University degree equivalent to a European University Master degree. Applicants should have a high interest in the field of molecular infection biology and be willing to take on a scientific and technical challenge. Prior hands-on experience in molecular biology and microbiology and excellent English skills are highly desirable.
