for the Post of JRF
Applications on plain paper with
complete bio-data along with self-attested photocopies of candidate’s
professional certificates are invited from Indian nationals for the post of
Junior Research Fellow (on contract) to
work in research project entitled “Sorghum Stover based Biorefinery for Fuels and
Chemicals” (San.Dy.No. IFD/2157/11-12 dated 25/01/2012) funded by
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The application completed in all respects
should reach to: Dean (R&C), Motilal Nehru National Institute of
Technology, Allahabad-211004 on or before 11 May 2012. The envelope should be
superscribed as “Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (on
contract) in the Project “Sorghum stover based Biorefinery for fuels and
chemicals”.A soft copy of the application should also be sent to the
email address of the sn5@mnnit.ac.in (Principal Investigator/Coordinator). Short
listed applicants are requested to present themselves for the interview with
updated CV and original mark sheets / certificates in support of their academic
qualifications. The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the
Administrative rules/service conditions of Research & Consultancy Cell,
MNNIT.
QUALIFICATIONS: Post graduation degree
(M.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent) in Biochemical Engineering/ Bioprocess Engineering/
Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Analytical
chemistry/ with first class. NET/GATE is compulsory and research experience in
the field of bioprocess engineering/ enzyme technology/downstream processing or
in the relevant area.
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.16000+ 3200 (HRA) for two
years and Rs.18000 +3800(HRA) in third year.
Other Benefits Accommodation may
be available as per the availability and Institutes norms in lieu of HRA.
Eligible candidate may be entitled to register for PhD/M.Tech. program of the
Institute. Facility of yearly leaves, carryover leaves, medical benefits etc.
may be available as per the applicable rules for
project staff.
AGE LIMIT: 28 years (age in all cases
relaxable by five years for SC/ST, OBC, Women and Physically handicapped
candidates)
NUMBER OF POST: 01 (one)
PROJECT DURATION: Appointment will be made on
contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended
depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of
project.
NOTE: (i) No TA/DA will be paid for
their appearing in the interview.
(ii) Candidates will be informed
by e-mail about the interview date. So, candidate must provide valid e-mail IDs
in their applications.
(iii) Mere, possessing the
prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for
interview.
(iv) The Institute reserves the
right to accept applications at any time, and consider candidates of
exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may
be relaxed by the Institute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional
candidates.
(v) The applicant will be
responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and
photographs submitted.
(vi) Applicants in employment
(private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a “ No
Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of interview.
