National Brain Research Centre
(NBRC), Manesar, is the apex co-ordinating body for research in Neuroscience
with the objective of undertaking basic research towards understanding brain
structure and function in health and disease. NBRC would like to recruit
suitable persons for the following position (s):-
POST CODE: 01 Assistant Administrative
Officer (Project)
PAY BAND: `9,300-34,800+Grade pay `4,600/-
METHOD OF
RECRUITMENT:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate in
Science/Arts/Commerce preferably with SAS/CA/ICWA from recognized university
with three years experience in Administration, Stores, Finance & Accounts,
Establishment matters, etc., departments in a Govt. Office or a Public Body.
DESIRABLE: Familiarity with computers and
its application in handling administrative and/or accounts matters.
DURATION OF
EMPLOYMENT: The
post is under a project at NBRC and is on contract basis with a probation
period of one year, which may be extended further after annual evaluation. The
post will Co-terminus with the project.
AGE LIMIT: 30 years as on last date of the
application.
2. POST CODE: 02 VETERINARIAN at the level of Application Specialist
(On Contract)
PAY SCALE: - On a consolidated pay of
`30,000/- per month. No other allowances/benefits will be admissible. Higher
start may be considered for candidates with more experience.

ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:-
M.V. Sc. OR B.V. Sc. with 2 years experience.
DESIRABLE:- Experience in administration
of a modern animal house with small animals and primates. Demonstrated
Experience in maintaining inbred and transgenic mouse lines under pathogen free
conditions would be an advantage.
DUTIES:- To Supervise day to day
monitoring of health breading, sanitary and nutritional requirements of
laboratory animals such as rats, mice, rabbits and monkeys and maintenances of
all relevant records. Persons should have requisite knowledge on care and
ethical issues in handling animals besides health care and maintenance of
laboratory animals.
DURATION OF
EMPLOYMENT: On
contract at a consolidated monthly emoluments of `30,000/-. Initially for a
period of one year. The position may be further extended with an increase in emoluments
based on performance review.
AGE:- 35 years as on last date of
the application.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
-
1. The post at Sr. No. 01, is
under a project at NBRC and is on contract basis with a probation period of one

2. The post at Sr. No. 02, is
purely on contract basis for a period of one year. The position may be further
extended with an increase in emoluments based on performance review.
3. Canvassing in any form will be
a disqualification.
4. Competent authority in
exceptional cases may relax requirements of age/ educational qualification/
experience.
5. The candidates may be
considered for higher/ lower grade depending on their profile.
6. The posts advertised shall be
need based without any commitment for its filling, and number of vacancies may
vary.

(non-refundable) `100/- for General and `50/- for OBC in the form of Demand
Draft in favour of “Director, NBRC” payable at Gurgaon/ Manesar. The
application fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category are exempted
subject to the production of Certificate. The women candidates are also exempted
from the application fee. Candidates are required to submit separate
application form along with requisite fee for applying for different Posts.
d) Names of three references
working in senior positions, who can certify the working/ conduct of the candidate.
8. Advertisement No., Name of the
post and Post Code applied for should be clearly mentioned on the Envelope and
on the Application Form, failing which the application will not be considered.
Applications received after the last date, without proper desired Demand Draft,
without attested copies of testimonials and certificates etc. /incomplete
applications may be rejected.
9. Out-station candidates called
for interview shall be paid 2nd class sleeper train fare on production of
documentary evidence.
10. The applicants in
Government/Semi-government organizations/ public sector undertaking autonomous
organizations must send their applications “Through Proper Channel”. The
applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be
considered.
11. Merely fulfilling the minimum
prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on a candidate
for being called for interview. Since it may not be
possible to call all the
candidates for interview, the applications will be short listed and the
decision of the duly constituted Screening Committee will be final. The Centre
will not entertain any correspondence in this respect and interim enquiries
will not be attended to.
12. Applications received after
due date may not be considered.
13. Candidate may specify the
category they belong to and attach documentary proof in case they belong to
OBC/SC/ST/PH/Ex-serviceman category. The reservation rules/ guidelines of Govt.
of India will be applicable. The Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH/
applicants as per the rules / guidelines of Government of India.
14. Application should be
complete in all respects and any incomplete application will be rejected
summarily.
15. The job contract will be
regulated as per the terms of the project and the prevailing rules and
procedure followed at NBRC at the time being.
16. No communication will be
entertained in this regard.

accompanied by a demand draft for `50/- drawn in favour of Director, NBRC
payable at Gurgaon along with details of the address where the application form
is to be sent. In addition the candidates have to send the requisite fee as
applicable, alongwith the filled-in application.
Last date for receipt of
completed application form is within 21 days from the date of publication of this
