WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
The
Head, Division of Vegetable Science, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit 1 Post
Doctoral Fellow (PDF), 2 posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one post of
Jr. Research Fellow under the programme mentioned below purely on
contractual/temporary basis.

Essential: M.Sc. degree in Vegetable
Science/Olericulture/ Horticulture/Plant Breeding/Botany/Seed Science with
research work related to breeding/production technology of vegetable crops.
Desirable: Experience of conducting field
trials for developing DUS testing guidelines in vegetable crops; working
experience in Computer Applications. NET qualifications

Essential: Ph.D. degree in Vegetable
Breeding/Horticulture/Plant Breeding/Plant Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Life
Sciences/ Botany/ Plant Sciences with research work related to
breeding/Molecular breeding/ Transformation in vegetable crops. NET qualified
and knowledge of molecular markers for marker assisted selection.
Desirable: Transformation techniques and
experience of PCR based techniques; working experience in Computer
Applications

Age limit: The upper age limit is 35 years
for the above posts. Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (SC/ST & women - 5 years;
OBC – 3 years) will be given as per Govt. of India instructions. The posts are
purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period
of one year but may be extended further based on the performance of the
candidate or till the termination of the scheme/project. There is no provision
of re-engagement. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim
regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any
further contractual engagement on termination of the Scheme/Project. The
interviews of eligible candidates for the above posts will be held on Friday,
the 18th May, 2012 at 10.30 A.M. in
the room of Head of the Division of Vegetable Science, IARI, New Delhi-12. The
eligible candidates should bring an application on plain paper addressed to
Head, Division of Vegetable Science, Indian Agricultural Research Institute,
New Delhi-110 012 along with complete bio-data giving full particulars, i.e.
proof of age, proof of reservation, qualifications, examinations passed, marks
obtained in each examination, research experience in project/scheme,
publications (only published, with a set of Photostat copy), NOC from the
present employer etc. The candidate should submit one set of attested copies of
marks sheets/transcripts. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for
the interview.
