Applications are invited for purely project based temporary position(s) in different R&D projects. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record and experience as given against each position may apply.

PROJECT: DST funded project entitled “Study of heavy metals transfer from contaminated soil to food

chain and their risk to human health in Himachal Pradesh” (P.I.: Dr. R.K. Sharma)

POSITION: Junior Research Fellow(01No.)

QUALIFICATION: Master degree in Botany/Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks.

DESIRABLE: Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified Candidates (emoluments as per CSIR-UGC norms).

STIPEND:  Rs. 12,000/- pm +HRA as per Institute norms.

PROJECT: ISRO funded project entitled “Gaseous air pollution in the background site of sprawling urban environment of Himachal Pradesh” under Environmental Observateries ISRO-GBP/AT-CTM

programme. (P.I.: Dr. J.C. Kumiyal)

POSITION: Field Investigator (01 No.)

QUALIFICATION: High School

DESIRABLE: Two years experience in handling air quality equipments

STIPEND:  Rs. 6,000/- pm (Fixed)

PROJECT: MOEF funded project entitled “Ecological evaluation, mapping and conservation prioritization of floristic diversity of the Spiti valley in a proposed Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve in TransHimalaya” (P.I.: Dr. S.S. Samant)

POSITION: Field Assistant (01) No

QUALIFICATION: High School

DESIRABLE: Experience of field work/trekking in High altitude areas

STIPEND:  Rs. 3,300/- pm (Fixed)

Age Limit: Junior Research Fellow: 28 years, Field Investigator and Field Assistant: 45 years; relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC candidates as per Government norms.
