POST: Research Assistant of Veterinary
Microbiology
Department of Veterinary Disease
Biology, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen
invites applications for a position as Research Assistant of veterinary
microbiology from April 1st 2012 or as soon possible thereafter. The duration
of the position is limited to 10 months.
The position is placed in the section for
microbiology in a research group mainly dealing with molecular methods for
detection of bacteria and molecular studies host pathogen interaction of
veterinary relevant bacteria.

DUTIES
The research assistant´s duties
will include research and development within three ongoing research projectcs:
1) DNA-array for detection of veterinary important bacteria, 2) qPCR methods
for detection of veterinary relevant bacteria and 3) host pathogen interaction
of Pasteurella multocida.
QUALIFICATIONS
- SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants must have a relevant
academic degree with molecular microbiology. In addition, qualifications within
all the following scientific areas are required: veterinary important bacteria,
DNA-array technology, qPCR methods and Pasteurella host pathogen interaction.
The research assistant is also required to be enterprising
and to possess good interpersonal skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The post will be filled according
to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish
Confederation of Professional Associations. The post is covered by the Protocol
on Job Structure.
