Walk in Interview
Eligible Indian Nationals are invited to appear for the Walk in Interview for the following posts under DBT sponsored Project “Identification of Major QTLs for Grain Yield Under Drought Stress in Jhum Rice Varieties of North Eastern Region for Use in Marker Assisted Breeding to Improve Yield under Drought” at this centre on 21 December, 2011 at 10.00 AM onwards.
Interviews will be held in sequence as mentioned below:-
1. NAME OF THE POST: JRF / SRF (DBT project)
NO. OF VACANCY: 1
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: M. Sc. in (Plant Biotechnology) / M. Sc. (Agri) in Genetics / Plant Breeding / any related subject with experience in molecular marker related work
Essential: Candidate should be NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified(Otherwise emoluments shall be Rs. 12000/- for 2 years and Rs. 14000/- for 3rd year + 10% HRA)
MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT: 35 for men and 40 for women
EMOLUMENTS: JRF emoluments shall be Rs. 16000/- + 10% HRA for first 2 years and Rs. 18000/- + 10% HRA for the 3rd year for SRF only
2. NAME OF THE POST: Project Assistant (DBT Project)
NO. OF VACANCY: 1(one)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: B. Sc. (Biotechnology) / or Graduates in any discipline from any recognized university
MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT: 30 for men and 35 forwomen
EMOLUMENTS: Rs. 5000/- fixed.
Relaxation for age etc. will be as admissible in ICAR. No TA/DA or official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview. The posts are contractual, purely temporary and co terminus with the project without any provision for regularization. The competent authority reserves the right to cancel / postpone the interview without assigning any reason thereof. The competent authority shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the end of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
On the date of interview candidates are required to bring their original certificates, thesis etc along with an application with full bio data addressed to the Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Tripura Centre, Lembucherra – 799 210, enclosing photocopies of relevant certificates and affixing a recent passport size photograph on right hand top.
