The following temporary research posts are to be filled up for research project under Rashtriya Krushi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) entitled "Survey and surveillance based pest and disease forewarning system for south Gujarat (B.H. 14002)" in the Department of Entomology, N.M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari-396 450 (Gujarat) India.

NAME OF THE TEMPORARY POST: Research Associate* (RA)

NO. OF POST: 1

 EMOLUMENTS PER MONTH: Rs. 24, 000/- + HRA for Ph.D candidates

Rs. 23, 000/- + HRA for M.Sc candidates

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Agril. Entomology/Plant Pathology discipline with related experience

M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agril.Entomology/ Plant pathology with minimum two years experience

2. NAME OF THE TEMPORARY POST: Senior Research Fellow(SRF)

NO. OF POST: 20 (Twenty)

 EMOLUMENTS PER MONTH: Rs. 16,000/- + HRA

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agril. Entomology/ Plant pathology

GENERAL INFORMATION:

1. The nature of job includes survey work of pests and diseases of various crops, hence the selected candidate has to travel in south Gujarat area; hence driving license of a two wheeler is required.

2. Knowledge of computer is must (Attach necessary certificate).

3. Knowledge of pests and diseases of various crops, rearing of insects and their bio-agents will be additional advantage (Attach necessary certificate).

4. The appointment will be purely temporary and on Adhoc basis. Navsari Agricultural University is not bound to provide any employment after completion/termination of the aforesaid project.

5. The candidates of Ph. D. in the discipline of Agril. Entomology / Plant Pathology, who have submitted Kachha bound thesis, are eligible to apply for RA. He/she has to produce certificate of submission of Kachha bound thesis from his/her Major Advisor.

6. The candidates of M.Sc. (Agri.) in the discipline of Agril. Entomology / Plant Pathology, who have submitted Kachha bound thesis, are eligible to apply for SRF. He/she has to produce certificate of submission of Kachha bound thesis from his/her Major Advisor.

7. The candidates will have to attend the interview at his/her own cost. Upper age limit should be 35 years for all posts.

8. Selected candidate in the project if not perform satisfactorily or for his/her misconduct, he/she will be terminated before the completion of the project without any intimation.

9. Eligible candidate has to submit his/her application separately for each post on plain paper along with complete bio-data (As per proforma), one passport size photograph and certified copies of educational qualification, work experience and age proof. He/she has to produce his/her original certificates at the time of interview for verification.

The candidate will have to remain present at office of Principal, N.M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari - 396 450 (Gujarat) on 03/11/2011 at 9.30 hrs along with full application and all the necessary documents.
