The Institute invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, result-oriented and dedicated candidates for filling 1 post of Senior Manager in Pay Band PB-4 of Rs 37400-67000 with GP of Rs 8700 (Total Emoluments at the minimum of the Pay band is Rs 91,724/- approx.). The post will be filled on deputation basis failing which by Direct Recruitment.
JOB-DESCRIPTION - The candidate will be responsible for implementing institutional policies and meeting requirements for the whole gamut of administrative, financial, estate, engineering, and stores & purchase matters. He/she will be the senior most officer of the Institute’s administration / management affairs and is expected to handle planning, coordination, direction and implementation of all administrative programmes of the Institute. He/She will also be responsible for providing support/inputs for policy making / decision making bodies such as Governing Body / Finance Committee / Academic Committee, including preparing agenda, minutes and action taken report thereon, and liaise with different departments. He/she shall also carry out such other responsibilities as delegated by the Director from time to time.
DEPUTATION:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Officers of the Central/State Governments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, not exceeding age of 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications, holding post analogous to the post applied for, in terms of the pay scale and status or the candidate has worked for at least five years on the lower post in Pay Band – 3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600 (pre-revised pay scale of Rs 12,000-375-16,500) are eligible to apply on deputation basis. The person appointed on deputation will be governed by the terms and conditions of deputation as per rules and, can be considered for absorption at a later stage.
DIRECT RECRUITMENT
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - A distinguished academic record with postgraduate degree in Arts / Commerce / Science / Engineering / MBA/ P.G. Diploma in Management from an Institute / University of repute, with at least five years experience as Manager or equivalent in the Pay Band – 3 of Rs. 15600 – 39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600 (pre-revised pay scale of Rs.12000- 375-16500) or in equivalent grade in Central/ State Govt. or PSU or Autonomous Bodies (or, in other organisations of repute, drawing minimum direct emoluments of Rs 70,000), with a total relevant experience of 12 years in administration in a responsible capacity.
DESIRABLE – Preference will be given to candidates having worked in Scientific Research Institutes / Teaching Institutes, possessing proven leadership qualities and knowledge of modern management practices, computer applications / management information systems and implementation of paperless office transition.
UPPER AGE LIMIT – Below 55 years
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Appointment will be made on contract initially for a period of 5 years with an initial probation period of one year that may be extended at the discretion of the Appointing Authority. Further continuation, if any will depend on candidate’s performance during the initial period of five years
2. The pay and allowances etc are admissible as per the recommendations of VIth Pay Commission of the Govt. of India. Other benefits include NPS, Medical reimbursement, LTC, etc. as per rules of the Institute.
3. The Upper Age limit is relaxable as per rules. In case of Direct Recruitment, the age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements for the post are also relaxable at the discretion of the Controlling Authority, in case of candidates otherwise qualified.
4. All Educational and Professional qualifications should be from a recognized Board /University.
5. The relevant experience requirement specified should be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post
6. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
7. Persons working in Govt. or Public Sector Undertaking should apply through proper channel or produce ‘No-Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview.
8. Outstation SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid to & fro second class railway fare, as per the Govt. of India rules on production of the proof of the same.
