Applications are invited for the following Project position for a DST project entitled  ‘Investigate the effects of short and long term administration of alpha asarone on oxidative stress and anxiety alleviation in insomna model in rats’ (P-8066)

1. JUNIOR /SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW/ RESEARCH ASSOCIATE-One vacancy

Qualification & Experience

(Essential) JRF : 1st class MSc in Neurosciences/Physiology/ Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology

SRF : 1st class MSc in Basic Sciences and 2 years

experience as JRF.

RA : Ph.D in Neurosciences/Physiology/ Zoology/Biochemistry.

Qualification & Experience

(Desirable) JRF : NET qualified and experience in biochemical estimation.

SRF : NET, ability to record electrophysiological signals and analyse signals, cognitive behavious testing.

RA : Experience in sleep research.

Emoluments per month : JRF- Rs. 16,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated) for  those having NET and ` 12,000/-+ 20% HRA  for others.

SRF- Rs. 18,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated) for  those having NET and ` 14,000/-+ 20% HRA  for others.

RA- Rs. 22,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated).

Maximum age as on 31-7-2012 : For JRF/SRF : 35 years

For RA : 40 years

Duration : Three years or till completion of the project whichever is earlier.

Mode of Selection : Test/Interview through call letter.
