Two
days workshop on
“Application
of Bioinformatics in Medical Sciences”
Biomedical Informatics Centre,
RMRIMS (ICMR), Patna is organizing a two days workshop (29th & 30th June 2012) on “Application of Bioinformatics in
Medical Sciences”. The topics to be addressed during the workshop include an
introduction to Homology modeling, Drug Discovery, Quantitative
structure-activity relationship, Protein Structure Prediction and Molecular Simulation,
Molecular Evolution and Phylogeny and Functional Genomics, Proteomics. This workshop
will be useful for scientists, clinicians and academicians who are involved in
basic and clinical research.
Eligibility criteria for
applicants include M. Pharm, MBBS, M.D, M. Tech and M.Sc. (Bioinformatics
biotechnology). Interested applicants may send their application letter with a small
write up to clearly mention the benefit of attending this workshop along with

The last dates for
receipt of applications are June. 20, 2012.
A maximum of 20 candidates will
be selected. The selected candidates will be intimated by email on June. 21,
2012. The selected candidates should bring a proof of identity (photo ID) for
the workshop. The workshop is being fully supported by the Indian Council of
Medical Research, New Delhi. Interested candidate may send abstract of their research
work. Some candidate may be selected to present their research work and the
work may be published in reputed peer reviewed international journal. The last
date for receiving abstract is June 20, 2012. There is no course fee. The
selected candidates will, however, have to make their own arrangements for
travel; accommodation can be provided to outside participants only. The candidates
should reach the institute before 8.30AM. Desk registration is subject to
