Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (Endocrinology) at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota

Investigator: Merry Jo Oursler, Ph.D. Professor of Medicine
A postdoctoral research position is available to study the cell biology of bone cells. The laboratory is part of a highly collaborative group that includes laboratories in the departments of Endocrinology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Orthopedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Projects focus on mechanisms of osteoclast differentiation and activity and interactions between osteoclasts and osteoblasts. A background in cell biology or biochemistry as well as strong writing and communication skills are essential. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in cell culture and signal transduction. Applicants must be eligible for NIH training grant support (i.e. U.S. citizen or green card holder). Ideal applicants will hold a Ph.D. degree in a biomedical science field, have a strong record of research productivity, and have an inclination for academic research careers.
