NO. OF POSTS: One in each case. However the University authority
reserves the right to fill or not to fill any of the post.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: As per latest UGC norms (for details,
please see GU website : www.gauhati.ac.in
). Mere fulfillment of qualification will not entitle an applicant for inviting
to the interview.
PAY BAND AND ACADEMIC GRADE PAY:
Professor: PB-4 =Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 10,000/-
Associate Professor: PB–4 Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 9,000/
Assistant Professor: PB-3 =Rs. 15,600-39,100 & AGP : Rs. 6,000/-
For contractual post = Rs. 15,000/-(Consolidated) per month

RESERVATION: Reservation of SC/ST as stated.
APPLICATION FEES & LAST DATE: Candidates will be required to
pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in
favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an
application fees for the post. Completed applications in the prescribed form
along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University,
Guwahati-14” latest by 15.03.2012 Those who are willing to apply for more than
one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application
fees. The name of the post and Department must be written on the envelope of
the application.
IMPORTANT: Those who have already applied for the post of
Lecturer/Reader/Professor in any of our previous advt. must apply again in
terms of this advertisement by submitting the duly filled in application form.
For candidates who
will be applying for the post of Professor & Associate Professor, filling
up of the IQAC format of G.U. is mandatory along with the application.
In all cases, two
copies of application form with all testimonial need to be submitted.
