Advertisement for the post of “Consultant” in the “National Tuberculosis Research Initiative- NTRI” supported by the DBT
(i) METHOD OF RECRUITMENT ON CONTRACT BASIS. Initially the candidate would be recruited for a period of 12 months extendable for further period of 2-3 years based on the performance and requirements in the Programme for the incumbent.
(ii) MONTHLY REMUNERATION: Consolidated emoluments of between Rs 20,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- per month depending upon educational qualifications and experience plus Rs. 1500/- per month as Local conveyance. The contract may be renewed after one year based on the assessment and requirement.
(iii) AGE LIMIT: Upto 35 years as on 30/03/2012
(iv) SELECTION PROCEDURE: A panel of suitable candidates will be prepared on the basis of their resume, meritorious background/ and relevance of the research work handled in the said area of TB research
(V) TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The selected candidates will not have any right for appointment merely on the ground that their names have been included in the panel. Further, the selected candidates will not have any right for regular appointment against any post in the Government on the basis of the contractual employment, if rendered by them.
(vi) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
• PhD in Medical Biochemistry/Medical Microbiology/Life sciences
• Minimum of five years research experience in the relevant area
DESIRABLE:
The incumbent should be well versed in the handling of TB, development of anti-tubercular drugs/candidates, protein characterization, molecular cloning, mutant and over expression techniques, handling of MDR, XDR Strains.
