WALK- IN-INTERVIEW on 31st January, 2012 for recruitment of SRF
TITLE OF THE PROJECT: “Use of RNAi technology in developing low phytate soybean and rice” ----- an ICAR, National Fund for Basic Strategic and Frontier Application Research in Agriculture (NFBSFARA ) sponsored project
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
1. Development of transgenic soybean with reduced levels of phytate content in seeds
2. Biochemical analysis of transgenic soybean seeds.

NAME OF POSITION: Senior Research Fellow( One post)
EMOLUMENTS (FIXED) PER MONTHS: Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA per month for I & II year; and 18000/- + 30% HRA from III yr onwards
ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL: M. Sc. with specialization in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
DESIRABLE: Experience in molecular biology techniques, gene cloning, tissue culture, development and analysis of transgenic plants and biochemical techniques
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Age limit for SRF is maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
2. The total duration of project is 4 years and the positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. The renewal of yearly contract is subjected to the satisfactory performance of SRF.
3. The biodata with full particulars i.e. qualifications, experience, NOC from the previous employer/experience certificate, publications etc. along with original/attested copies of the certificates must be brought alongwith.
4. The Interview of eligible candidates will be held in the Division of Biochemistry, IARI, Pusa Institute, New Delhi on 31st January, 2012 at 10.30 A.M.
5. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
