Walk in interview for the following temporary positions, purely on contractual basis, will be held on 27.01.2012 in the chamber of Dy. Director General (Research) Room No. 48, ICFRE Headquarters. Building, Forest Research Institute (FRI) Campus, P.O. New Forest, Dehradun from 10:30 AM.

1. Plant Taxonomist/ Forest Ecologist (One position), Total emoluments Rs. 25,000/- (Fixed), Duration 6 Months only. Candidate should be at least Post Graduate preferably a Ph.D. in Plant taxonomy or Forest Ecology with 10 years experience in floristic Survey of forested regions as evidenced by published literature.

2. Junior Project Fellow (One Position): Total emoluments Rs. 12,000/- (Fixed), Duration for 9 months only. Qualification and experience: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry or Botany with specialization in Plant taxonomy or floristic survey from a recognized University.

Knowledge of Computer applications is essential

3. Project Assistant (One Position): Total emoluments Rs. 9,000/- (Fixed), Duration for 9 months only. Qualification: Graduate in science with knowledge of Computer applications or a BCA.

AGE LIMIT: No Upper age limit for position at Sr. No.1, upper age limit for position at Sr. No.2 &

3 is 28 years, which is relaxable upto 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women, PH, and OBC as per ICFRE Rules which may be relaxed in exceptional cases at the discretion of the ICFRE. General Conditions: Awards of the assignment on contract are governed by the prevailing Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education Rules and other relevant Rules as applicable, and do not guarantee subsequent employment under the Council. Job requires extensive travel in forests areas and candidate willing to travel extensively in the field for floristic exploration shall only apply.
