1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
PAY: Rs. 15,600/- per month
AGE: Below 30 years
DURATION: One year extended based on performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Screening small molecules against pathogenic and non-pathogenic mycobacteria, bacterial cell culturing, in vitro and in vivo assays, cloning, protein isolation and characterization by western blot analysis. Providing scientific support to scientists and students in their research activities. Book keeping and maintenance of stocks and consumables.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or any other branch of Life Sciences / M. tech in Biotechnology from a recognized university / institute with a consistent first class academic record above 60% and relevant research experience as evidenced from thesis / dissertation carried out in a reputed scientific institution.
DESIRABLE: Hands on experience with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and basic microbiology techniques. Practical experience in gene cloning, protein isolation and characterization will be an added qualification.
