Project officer(HIV/AIDS Counseling) at Lucknow University

Advertisement for the positions under the Project from GFATM-7 on the HIV/AIDS Counseling Component

Lucknow University is one of six the Sub-Recipients for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis & Malaria Round -7 (GFATM-7) grants on the HIV/AIDS Counseling Sub Component. This program aims at enhancing human and institutional capacities of HIV counseling training institutes in India. For successful implementation of this program we require highly skilled and experienced staff. We are inviting CVs for the following positions within the program.

PROJECT OFFICER – CAPACITY BUILDING (PO-CB)

MINIMUM DESIRED QUALIFICATION: Preferably PhD or Masters in any of the disciplines under Social Sciences/Social Work /Psychology/or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience of working in HIV/AIDS field. Experience in coordinating trainings is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for coordinating the zonal level capacity building initiatives in the  program, and timely achievement of training targets and their reporting.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

(i)The right is reserved to: (a) relax any of the requirements with reference to qualifications and experience in exceptional in cases and/or in the case of persons already holding comparable positions, on a regular basis, in a university/research institution, (b) to invite persons for interview who may not have applied or to consider in absentees; (c) not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised; (ii) Since applications received may be short listed ,merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and the requisite experience would not entitle a person to be called for interview; (iii) No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for interview/selection of candidates for the candidates for the jobs will be entertained at any stage and canvassing will lead to the candidate being debarred from consideration for the Job; and (d) Person selected/appointed shall not under any condition make any claims – financial or academic – on account of any injury/loss on GFATM-7/ Faculty in Charge, GFATM Project at the SR/PR level/Lucknow University.

Appointment to each position is initially for one year and will be coterminous with the project.

All positions are located in Lucknow.

All positions (except support staff) are subject to extensive travel within the country.

Services of persons appointed on any of the above mentioned positions may be terminated with a notice of 15 days.

The appointment is specific to the Global Fund and no claim can be made for any position in Lucknow University during and after the project period.
