Postdoctoral Position at Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Leipzig, Germany

POSITION: Postdoctoral Position
The research will be conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany, an internationally leading center for cognitive and imaging neuroscience equipped with a 7T MRI scanner, three 3T MRI scanners, a 306 channels MEG system, a TMS system and EEG labs. All facilities are supported by experienced IT and physicist staff. Our institute offers a very international environment, with English and German being the languages spoken in the labs. It offers a friendly and generous environment of researchers with diverse backgrounds and with an excellent infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have prior experience with diffusion imaging (DWI) and is interested in further developing this method in its combination with behavioral, electrophysiological, and genetic information. The successful candidate has already demonstrated expertise in the field of DWI by high-quality publications and will share our enthusiasm in research questions of brain changes during maturation and its connection to atypical development. Experience in the research areas of language processing or developmental neuroscience is desirable but not required. The candidate should have a solid background in imaging methods, hands-on experience in problems of data and statistical analysis, and interest to co-supervise PhD and Master students. The position offered does not include teaching obligations.
