Applications on prescribed forms are invited for filling up the following academic positions in the Department of Medical Elementology & Toxicology, Faculty of Science on UGC pay bands. Eligible candidates may apply on or before January 25, 2012 (Wednesday).
Assistant Professor (Molecular Toxicology) - One
Assistant Professor (Carcinogenesis Toxicology) - One (Leave Vacancy)
PAY BAND:
Assistant Professor - Rs. 15600-39100+ AGP Rs. 6000*/-
*Incumbent selected against the leave vacancy will be paid consolidated salary.
01. Assistant Professor (Molecular Toxicology) - One
The candidate should be CSIR/UGC-NET with 1st division M.Sc. in Toxicology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology. The Ph. D. should be of high quality evidenced by published work. Preference will be given to those candidates who have one year university teaching experience and carry a grant for a research project in the relevant area.
02. Assistant Professor (Carcinogenesis Toxicology) - One (Leave Vacancy)
The candidate should be CSIR/UGC-NET with 1st division M.Sc. in Toxicology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology. The Ph.D. should be of high quality evidenced by published work. Required to teach carcinogenesis and Teratogenesis and special issues of toxicology alongwith foundation course.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The university reserves the right not to fill-up the vacancy if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview.
2. The university reserves the right to consider the name(s) of suitable candidates who may not have applied and also to relax the qualification and experience for deserving candidates, as approved by the Selection Committee.
3. The appointment against leave vacancy will be for the current academic session or till the actual incumbent resumes his duty, whichever is earlier.
4. Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, degrees and certificate etc. for verification.
5. Applications complete in all respects should reach to the Office of the Registrar, Establishment Section, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi – 110 062 latest by January 25, 2012 (Wednesday) alongwith the following:
· Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience).
· Attested copies of certificates & testimonials in support of qualification and experience.
· Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- for in favour of Registrar, Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.
· Duly typed Annexure- A available with the application form.
6. Persons already in job must apply through proper channel.
7. Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be entertained.
8. Reservation for persons with disabilities as per Government of India Rules is available. Such candidates need not to enclose the application fee.
