Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of 2 (TWO) posts of Research Assistant Grade-I (General) in the Institute of Wood Science & Technology, Bangalore on direct recruitment basis. These posts carry all India transfer liability (where the Institutes / Centres of ICFRE are situated). Details and eligibility conditions are given below. Number of vacancies are 2 (two) reserved one for O.B.C. and one for General Category.

Note:
1. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date of receipt of Applications.
2. Last date of receipt of application: 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
3. Interested candidates may apply to “The Director, Institute of Wood Science & Technology, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore-560 003” so as to reach within 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement which would also be the crucial date for determining the age limit. Application received after closing date will not be entertained. Application should be filled as per the format given below and send alongwith the recent passport size photograph affixed on the application. Govt. servant apply for the above post should forward their applications “through proper channel” and should enclose “No Objection Certificate” obtained from Head of their Office/Deptt./Ministry. The forwarding authority should ensure that in the event of selection of the official, he should be in a position to relieve / spare the official within a month of the issue of offer of appointment to him.
Applications received unsigned, not filled correctly / completely are liable to be rejected and the onus of such rejection would be on the candidate.
4. The selection of the above posts is proposed to be made on the basis of interview. However, this Department reserved the right for any subsequent alteration /modification in the criteria for Selection.
5. The application duly completed in all respect as per the prescribed format given below shall be submitted along with the certified copies of proof of age, caste, qualifications and experience etc.
6. The application form should accompany with the recruitment fee of Rs.250/- in case of General/OBC candidates in the form of demand draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Director, IWST payable at Bangalore. No fee is prescribed for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
7) The candidates selected on direct recruitment will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme introduced by the Govt. of India w.e.f. 01-01-2004.
8) Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per the norms of Govt. of India to OBC/Ex-servicemen/employees already working in Central Govt. Departments.
9) The final list of candidates called for interview is based on short-listing of candidates by a duly constituted screening committee.
10) No correspondence in this matter is entertained.
11) Canvassing in any form for / by the applicant shall not be entertained.
12) The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the vacancy advertised if the circumstances so warrant.
