Applications are invited for engaging one RA/SRF (Extended)/SRF/JRF in the CSIR sanctioned research scheme (No. 37(1395)/10/EMR-II) entitled “Pharmacokinetics-Pharmacodynamics integration & Toxicological studies of flouroquinolones & cephalosporins in buffalo species” (PI: Professor (Dr.) Suresh Kumar Sharma).
a) The educational qualifications prescribed for the award of research fellowship/associateship are as under:
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences OR having three years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.V.Sc.
SR RESEARCH FELLOW (EXTENDED): Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis in Veterinary and Animal Sciences can be selected for RAship provisionally, for one year only pending award of Ph D degree. They will be regularized as RA after award of PhD degree but within one year.
SR RESEARCH FELLOW: B.V.Sc & A.H./B.V.Sc / MSc. (in any field of Biological Sciences) with atleast two years of research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard referred journals OR M.V.Sc.
JR RESEARCH FELLOW: B.V.Sc & A.H./B.V.Sc./ M.Sc. in any relevant field of Biological Sciences with 55% marks with NET/GATE test.
DESIRABLE: Experience of working in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology
RA/SRF (Extended)/SRF/JRF will be engaged, depending upon availability in the order of priority.
b) Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matriculation level is required. This condition is relaxable, if candidate is otherwise found suitable.
c) The upper age limit for JRF, SRF, SRF (Extended) and RA shall be 28, 32, 33 and 35 years, respectively as on the day on which the application is made. A small relaxation in age limit may be considered, in the case of applicants who are suitably qualified and experienced on the recommendations of the selection committee. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
d) STIPEND: The stipend payable to JRF, SRF, SRF(E) and RA (working in the research schemes) is as per CSIR guidelines.
e) The tenure of the fellow (s)/associate (s) appointed in the scheme is co-terminus with the scheme. In other words, the tenure of the Fellowship/Associate shall cease from the date the scheme terminate, irrespective of the period of Fellowship/Associateship held by him/her in the scheme. The total tenure of a fellow as JRF+SRF can be 5 years only. The normal tenure of RA will be 3 years.
f) The candidates should submit their biodata in Form - G (which can be downloaded from website http://csirhrdg.res.in/res_formsG.htm) alongwith a payment of Rs. 100/- in shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, GADVASU and attested copies of certificates and testimonials in the office of the undersigned latest by 31.10.2011. The fellowship is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The interview will be held on 01.11.2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the office of the undersigned. No separate interview letter will be issued. The candidates are required to produce original certificates and testimonials at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
The RA/SRF/JRF shall have to give one month notice or one month salary in lieu of one month on resigning.
