Applications on the prescribed forms are invited from the candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme in the following disciplines for the academic session 2011-12:-

 COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SCIENCE

Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree in the respective or related discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent

 POST GRADUATE INSTITUTE OF VETERINARY EDUCATION & RESEARCH

Animal Biotechnology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree in the respective discipline/or in the discipline of Vety. Microbiology, Vety. Parasitology, Vety. Pathology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Vety. Public Health, Vety. Biochemistry, Epidemiology & Preventive Vety. Medicine and B.V.Sc.& A.H. or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00  

 COLLEGE OF FISHERIES

Aquaculture

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree (M.F.Sc.) in respective discipline  with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.F.Sc. or equivalent

Prospectus along with application forms can be obtained from the office of Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana-141004 either by sending crossed bank draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of Comptroller, GADVASU, Ludhiana, payable at Ludhiana or personally from the said office on payment of Rs. 900/- at the counter on all working days from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The Prospectus and application forms will be sent under registered cover and University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in the transit. The application form can also be down loaded from University Website.

 Application form complete in all respects along with interview fee of Rs. 1200/- (Rs.2200/- for application form downloaded from internet) must reach the office of the undersigned latest by 25.11.2011 without late fee and 02.12.2011 with late fee of Rs.600/-. Incomplete application or those received after the due date shall not be entertained. The in-service candidates are required to apply through proper channel.
