2011 Manitoba Forage Seed Scholarship Award ($500)
Application deadline: October 31, 2011
This scholarship award is to be offered to a qualified High School or University Student who:
1) is a resident of Manitoba; and
2) is a member of, or has a parent who is a member of, the Manitoba Forage Seed Association (MFSA), or who has a special interest in forage seed production (e.g. school study related to forage seeds); and
3) is enrolled, or is applying to enroll, in a degree or diploma program in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba; and
4) has achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 or 65%.
Applicant must complete the following form with contact information and paragraph relating to eligibility (see below). Please include a resume with details of education, employment, and activities. Please also include proof of enrolment in a U of M Agriculture Program.
In 200 words or less please write about your eligibility for this award, including farming background, employment, volunteer work and special interests, related to forage seed production and/or alfalfa leaf cutting bee management (Attach an extra page as necessary).
