POST: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title: Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) comprised of dimetal units and muti-atom organic linkers

PROJECT DESCRIPTION :This project aims at synthesizing and structurally characterizing novel metal organic frameworks as well as their use in various applications. It will require broad synthetic skills with experience in handling air and moisture compounds under standard Schlenk line techniques and Glove box conditions. Additionally, it is expected to learn and use several analytical techniques to characterize the new compounds.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organometallic and/or Inorganic specialization preferred) with excellent academic record. Prior experience in X-ray Crystallography and other analytical techniques would be a plus. Candidates should have a valid NET (CSIR/UGC) or NET (LS) or GATE (>75 percentile) test score.
