PROJECT TITLE: Surveillance of Quality of treated water and groundwater in Delhi with respect to health related parameters

PRESCRIBED EDUCATIONALQUALIFICATION(S)*: M.Sc. (Environmental Science / management) / M.Sc.(Chemistry) or equivalent with min. 55% marks

EXPERIENCE Preferably in water sampling, chemical analysis and instrumental analysis

JOB REQUIREMENT Water sampling in the field and analysis in laboratory & data interpretation

Age Limit **: 28 yrs. (as on closing date of the application)

CONSOLIDATED FIXED REMUNERATION (P.M.):Rs. 12000/- p.m.

*EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (minimum marks): 55% for General and 50% for SC/ST.

**AGE RELAXATION : 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated who are not remarried are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years (40 years for members

of SC/STs).

The engagement is purely on a temporary basis and contract basis under the externally funded  sponsored project undertaken by NEERI which may be extended or curtailed depending on the status / duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance / conduct of the project assistants.

It is a placement under the sponsored project and will be co-terminus with the project duration under any case. The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit or explicit on the candidates for regularization / absorption against any post in NEERI/CSIR or any other scheme of CSIR.

The Director, NBPGR, Pusa Campus, New Delhi wishes to recruit outstanding experienced personnel-02 SRF; 01 SRF and 01 Project Assistant; 01 SRF (purely contract basis) under HMNEH-MM I projects entitled (i) Management And Multiplication of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) of Kiwi and Kagzi Nimbu (ii) Establishment of Mother Blocks For Bud Wood Production of Citrus and Kiwi (iii) Popularization of Geranium, Lavender and Rosemary Among Local Farming Communities of Uttarakhand respectively for duration of the projects. (A) PROJECT ENTITLED: Management And Multiplication of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) of Kiwi and Kagzi Nimbu

1. POST Two Senior Research Fellows (SRF)

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

3. DESIRABLE: (i) Knowledge of propagation methods of fruits plants with working knowledge of computer.

(ii) Experience in maintaining horticultural plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank.

(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

4. EMOLUMENTS: Rs. 16000/- + HRA (as applicable)

(B) Project entitled : Establishment of Mother Blocks For Bud Wood Production of Citrus and Kiwi

1. POST One Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and One Project Assistant

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : SRF- M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

Project Assistant - B. Sc.-Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

3. DESIRABLE: SRF:

(i) Knowledge of propagation methods of fruits plants with working

(C) PROJECT ENTITLED:Popularization of Geranium, Lavender and Rosemary Among Local Farming Communities of Uttarakhand

2.Educational Qualification :M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

3. Desirable :(i) Knowledge of propagation method in aromatic plants with working knowledge of computer.

(ii) Experience in nursery management of aromatic plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank/herbal garden/farmer’s field.

(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

4.EMOLUMENTS: Rs. 16000/- + HRA (as applicable)

Applications are invited from research scholars, post-docs, young faculty members and scientists

of Indian Universities / Research Institutions for the Visiting Fellowship throughout the year to

conduct advanced research in Biological Sciences.

Fellowships are provided to the selected candidates for furtherance of their research and research

capabilities for carrying out collaborative research or utilizing facilities not available in their own

institutions. These fellowships will be given for a minimum period of one month to a maximum

of 3 months to conduct research in the Networking Resource Centre in Biological Sciences, School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai.

The fellowship is Rs.5000/- per month, which can be availed in addition to the scholar’s / scientist's own fellowship / salary from their parent institution. The candidate is also eligible for

Travel allowances as per our university regulations.
