Indian Institute of Forest Management, located at Bhopal, is an autonomous academic institution under the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India. It is a premier national level Institute engaged in education, training, research and consultancy in the area of natural resource management. The Institute invites applications from outstanding persons with published works of high standards and orientation towards Management of Natural Resource/ Environment /Forest for Faculty positions (Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/Professor) in the faculty areas of (i) Marketing Management (ii) Financial Management (iii) Communication & Extension Management (iv) Environment & Developmental Economics (v) Information Technology & Quantitative  Techniques (vi) Eco-System & Environment Management.

Qualifications & Experience for faculty positions(For Direct Recruitment)

Assistant Professor: Rs.12000-420-18300*

Ph.D., with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years teaching/research/forestry/industrial experience.

Associate Professor: Rs.16400-450-20000*

Ph.D., with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8  years’ teaching/research/forestry/industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.

Professor: Rs.18400-500-22400*

Ph.D., with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years’ teaching/research/forestry/industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor.

Depending upon the qualifications and experiences, the applicants, if selected, may be offered suitable faculty position (Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor). *Pre-revised pay scales.

Ecological Economics/Environmental and Conservation Finance/ Econometrics/ Developmental Economics/Forest Resource Economics/Agricultural economics etc.

Ecosystem and Environment Management:

Ecology/Environment Science/Wildlife Science/Geography/Botany/Environment Auditing/ Environmental Management System/Environment Impact Assessment/ Eco System Management/Climate Change/Watershed Management etc.
