SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) : One Post [Unreserved] ; Pay Band (PB-2)  Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay : Rs.4200/- ; TME :  Rs.26,851/- ;  HQ : Mumbai. Qualification : i) S.S.C./H.S.C. and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. (ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications. Experience : 2 years experience in R & D Labs or Fabrication jobs in industry. Desirable : Experience in cryogenics. Job Requirements : The selected candidate will be required to work on the cryogenic systems, vacuum systems and provide engineering support for mechanical subsystems of the accelerator facility.  He/She will be responsible for operating a closed cycle helium refrigerator and associated helium distribution system.  In addition to the operation and maintenance work, the candidate will also work for R&D of accelerator upgradation.  The job involves working in 24x7 shifts throughout the year. AGE LIMIT: The upper age limit is 35 years for both the above posts. Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/ (SC/ST & women - 5 years; OBC – 3 years) will be given as per the Govt. of India instructions. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of six months (PDF) and one year (SRF), but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the scheme/project. There is no provision of re-engagement. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any  further contractual engagement on termination of the Scheme/Project.
