NxGenBio Life Sciences is building a multidisciplinary molecular biology and computational genomics unit with experience in computational genomics, biotechnology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), immunology, and molecular biology. We are searching for a bioinformatician focused on next-generation sequencing.

Responsibilities:

•  Process and analysis of high-throughput DNA and RNA sequencing data from Roche 454, Illumina HiSeq 2000, ABI Solid & Ion Torrent next-generation sequencing  platforms

• Create, invent, and optimize NxGenBio LS NGS pipelines

EXPERIENCE & QUALITIFCATIONS
Minimum
• Demonstrated experience creating large datasets, such as NGS
• Experience with commonly- used software tools to process, analyze, and visualize NGS data
• Experience scripting in Linux and with multi-core or high-performance computing
• Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
• Self-starter who works effectively and collaboratively in an agile start-up environment

EDUCATION
• PhD or Masters in bioinformatics, Biotechnology or related field
