Bose Institute, Kolkata, invites applications from Indian Citizens for One (01) temporary position of

Research Assistant in the DBT sponsored Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship Scheme entitled "Systematic discovery of novel motifs mediating protein protein interactions" at Bose Institute" under Dr. Sudipto Saha, Ramalingaswami Fellowship Scientist, Bioinformatics Centre. The fellowship is tenable for one year, with the option of prolongation to upto three years, subject to satisfactory  performance. The said scheme is tenable for five years.

Essential Qualification: MCA OR M.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology/ Bioinformatics OR

B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Bioinformatics.

Also candidates must have interest/knowledge in handling biological datasets.

Experience:

(i) Experience in relational database systems such as Postgre SQL/MySQL

AND/OR

(ii) Experience in developing web interface using Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Struts framework)

AND/OR

(iii) Experience in pattern matching algorithm (Motif-hunting software)

Consolidated Remuneration : 16,000/- p.m. (fixed) for those candidates having less than two years

Experience as mentioned above.

OR

18,000/- p.m. (fixed) for those candidates having experience of 02 (Two) years and more as mentioned above

Age : Below 30 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC as per rule).
