IMMUNOPATHOGENESIS OF INVASIVE
CANDIDIASIS
National Institute of
Allergy & Infectious Diseases, Bethesda, MD and surrounding area
The Fungal Pathogenesis Unit (FPU) within the Laboratory of
Clinical Infectious Diseases (LCID) at the National Institute of Allergy &
Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH) is recruiting
a scientist at the level of postdoctoral research fellow to join our laboratory
research program in fungal immunology. The FPU conducts laboratory research
studies on the innate immune response against Candida in the mouse model of
invasive infection using gene knockout mice. The project centers on the role of
myeloid cells in the induction of protective versus pathogenic innate
antifungal responses in invasive candidiasis.
