Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, a permanent Institute under Indian Council of Medical Research, Dept. Of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. Of India, invites applications from suitable Indian Nationals for appointment on the following Purely temporary posts (on contractual basis) under the project entitled “Implementation Research for Point of Care Diagnosis of Visceral Leishmaniasis in India”, sponsored by Grand Challenge Canada.
NAME OF THE POST: Assistant Program Manager
NO. OF POSTS: One
MONTHLY EMOLUMENTS (RS.): Rs. 60,000/- for personnel not in job or personnel on deputation possessing required experience.
DURATION OF CONTRACT: The appointment will be made on consolidated pay initially for a period of 12 months, likely to be extended for next year till end of the study period.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE ABOVE POSTS: The essential/ desirable qualifications and experience for the above posts, as per serial number, are given as under:

 (1) Essential Qualification: (i) MBBS and MD in Preventive and Social Medicine / Master degree in Applied Epidemiology
(ii) Ten Years experience in field of case management/ Control Program Management/Clinical drug trials for any vector borne disease.
(2) Desirable: Experience in the field of Kala-azar (Visceral leishmaniasis) will be preferred.
(3) Age: The candidate should not be more than 55 years of age.

The Assistant Program Manager will be responsible for coordination of all the project related activity in their respective district assigned. He/ she will ensure daily operations consistent with the milestones. He/ she will also ensure proper data management at PHC and submission to the Principal Investigator’s and Co-Investigator’s office in right format and well in-time. He/ she will liaison with the Government Health Machinery to resolve the study related issues, if any.
Date of Interview:The interested candidates may turn up for interview/ personal discussion in the Institute premises on 22/08/2012 at 10.00 A.M. along with their duly signed application, current curriculum vitae, original certificates in proof of Date of Birth, education qualification, experiences etc. alongwith self attested xerox copies of the same and one recent passport size photograph.
Note:-
1. Age relaxation as per Govt. of India rule.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. Decision of Principal Investigator shall be final.
4. If performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator appointment can be terminated any time without any notice.
5. The post is for undertaking by the Institute/Principal Investigator and no claim in future employment under the ICMR Institute shall be tenable.
