EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The Principal Scientist & Consortia Co-Principal Investigator intends to recruit  following posts purely on contractual basis in NAIP Project “Strategies to enhance adaptive capacity to climate change in vulnerable regions (World Bank –GEF). Details of the position are given below:

Age limit:

For Research Associate: Maximum 40 for men and 45 for women

Research Fellow: Maximum 35 for men and 40 for women ( Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates).

Essential qualification:

For Research Associate:

Ph.d in fisheries/ Zoology/ Boany/Marine Biology/oceanography or any other relevant subject . M.F.Sc/M.Sc  with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship / Training/ other engagements. Published research papers will be desirable.

For Senior Research Fellow:

M.F.Sc/M.SC (Zoology/Botany/Marine Biology/Oceanography/any other relevant subject

Desirable: Experience in vessel based work, Field work, writing ability and computer skills.

Emoluments:

For Research Associate:

For Ph.D degree holder Rs 24000/-+ 30% HRA

Master Degree Holder: Rs 23000/-+ 30% HRA

For Senior Research Fellow:

Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA for Ist and IInd year  and Rs 18000/- + 30% HRA for 3^rd year. The interview of eligible candidates for the above post will be held on 28 July, 2012 at 09:30 A.M. at Mumbai Research Centre of Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, 2nd Floor CIFE Old Campus, Fisheries University Road, Seven Bungalows, Versova, Andheri (West), Mumbai -400 061. Interested candidates satisfying the essential qualifications may come for the interview with a copy of the bio-data, original and attested copies of all certificates, recent copy of passport size photograph, etc. for the post. The above post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year but may be extended on year to year basis based on performance of the candidate. The candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the posts are co-terminus with the respective projects. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualification would be entertained for the interview.
