NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for the posts of FOUR Research Associates and TEN Junior Research Fellows, to work in an Inter-disciplinary research project in the area of Nanotechnology entitled “Processing, Characterization and Applications of Advanced Functional Materials” sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under the University with Potential for Excellence Program for a period of FIVE YEARS.

Essential Qualifications:

RESEARCH ASSOCIATES : Ph.D. Degree in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Polymer Chemistry, Applied Geology, Geology, Earth Science

and Resource Management, from a reputed University, and with First Class in M.Sc., and good number of research publications.

Monthly Fellowship of Rs.18,000/- per month with HRA in the first two years and in the third year

Rs.19,000/- per month with HRA will be paid.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS : M.Sc., with First Class in any one of the following subjects

– Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Polymer Chemistry, Applied Geology, Geology, Earth Science and Resource Management.

Candidates with NET qualification are eligible for the JRF with full scholarship of Rs.16,000/- per month and additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the third year fellowship will be enhanced to Rs.18,000/- per month with additional HRA.

If NET qualified candidates are not available, then the Candidates will be selected as Project Fellows with a Fellowship of Rs.14,000/- per month with additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the third year the fellowship will be enhanced to Rs.16,000/- per month with additional HRA.

The Fellowships will be for THREE YEARS initially and shall be extended in special cases as per the requirement.

The selection will be held through an interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for interview.
