JRF post(Functional characterization of begomovirus encoded Replication initiator protein) at JNU, New Delhi

Position Available for JRF (one)
Project : “Functional characterization of begomovirus encoded Replication initiator protein (Rep), a member of SF III helicase family”.
Duration: The Project will continue till July, 2014. The above mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, but can be curtailed or extended based on the performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project.
Salary : - As per DBT rules and guidelines for JRF.
Essential Qualifications : - Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology. Preference will be given to CSIR / UGC/ JRF or NET or GATE qualified candidates. However, Non- NET qualified candidates can also apply; salary of such candidates will be paid as per old scale following DBT norms.
Desirable qualifications : Candidate should be well acquainted with molecular biology techniques and also has research experience in expression and purification of recombinant protein.
The competent authority may select candidate in the lower position against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
