JRF post(Unchartered mechanisms of asymmetric cell division) at IISER, Thiruvananthapuram

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance sponsored project entitled “A multilayered approach to decipher unchartered mechanisms of asymmetric cell division”.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Masters degree in any area of Biological/Chemical Sciences with 55% marks and qualified JRF/LS in one of the national level tests such as CSIR-UGC/GATE/DBT/ICMR. Preference will be given to those with published research work of high quality.
SALARY: Rs. 16,000/- plus HRA per month.
DURATION: One Year (extendable for another year, on review of performance)

Incomplete applications or those that do not meet the minimum criteria will not be considered. The position is purely temporary. While the candidate may apply for Ph.D program of the institute separately, appointment in the project does not guarantee such admission. Mere fulfillment of qualifications/experience requirements does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
