WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Candidates who possess qualifications mentioned below may attend the WALK-IN INTERVIEW on 03.07.2012 between 9-00 AM AND 12.00 NOON with all the original certificates, including community Certificate and recent passport size photograph. The selected candidate will be appointed under the DST Project entitled “Characterization of the specific polypeptide(s) in Culex quinquefasciatus (Filariasis vector) causing resistance against biopesticides in mosquito vector control” initially for a period of six months and will be extended till the end of the project and availability of funds.  NAME OF THE POST - Senior Research Fellow – 1 post

 1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 Master’s degree in Zoology/Entomology/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology / Microbiology with atleast two years of research experience in relevant field. 

2. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION  1. Hands on experience in molecular biological techniques applicable to isolation and characterization of biological molecules. 2. Candidates who have been declared successful at NET/GATE. 3. Qualified in the Entrance examination Conducted by Pondicherry university for Ph.D Admission. 

3. NATURE OF RESEARCH  To conduct research in the field of characterization of polypeptide(s) in mosquitoes causing resistance against bio-pesticides. 

4. FELLOWSHIP AMOUNT  Rs.14,000/=-p.m. (Consolidated) throughout the project period + HRA admissible as per existing DST Guidelines. 

5. AGE LIMIT  Below 35 years and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates, as per Govt. of India rules in force.
