 Applications are invited for the following temporary position in the Ministry of Environment and Forests sponsored project entitled “Marine Litter in the Coastal and Coral Reef Environment of Gulf of Mannar” initially for a period of one year extendable further based on performance as per details given below:

1.      Technical Assistant: 1 No.

·         Emoluments:  Rs.3,225/- pm for 1^st & 2^nd years and Rs.3,725/-pm for 3^rd year as per institutional rules.

·         Place of Posting: Marine Field Research department at Pudumadam, in Ramnad District, Tamilnadu. 

·         Minimum Qualification(s): Any degree.

·         Desirable: Preference will be given to candidate who will be either trained or experienced divers or sea swimmers, snorkeling and skin diving with previous experience in marine related underwater survey works.

·         Nature of duties: Helping to conduct marine underwater field monitoring works along with Junior Research Fellows.

Note:

1.   Candidates serving in Central / State Governments / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous bodies etc., shall apply through proper channel. If candidates apply directly their selection will be subject to clearance from their departments.

3.   The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

4.   Incomplete applications or applications received after prescribed time limit shall not be entertained.

5.   No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the Interview.
