Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (1 no.) and Project Assistant (1 no.) positions, purely on temporary basis, in the SERB, Govt of India funded research project on ‘Bionomics and management of Purpuricenus sanguinolentus Olivier (Cerambycidae:Coleoptera) the stem borer of sandal (Santalum album L.) in Karnataka’ for a period of three years and co-terminus with the project period. For both the positions the age limit is 28 years with relaxation as per GOI rules.

I. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

1. Qualification: M.Sc. I class in Zoology or Life Science with Entomology as one subject.

Preference will be given to NET, GATE and SLET cleared candidates.

2. Emoluments: Rs 16,000 + 30% HRA per month.

II. For Project Assistant (PA)

1. Qualification: B.Sc. in Zoology or any branch of Life Science with Zoology as one subject.

2. Emoluments: Rs 8000 per month (consolidated).
