Advertisement for Research Associate Positions
Applications are invited from citizens of India for a research associate position for a DBT sponsored research project in the field of chemical biology of quadruplex nucleic acids undertaken within the group of Dr Jyotirmayee Dash, in the Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER-Kolkata. The position is initially for a period of 1Year and extendable on a yearly basis for three years (duration of the project) based on satisfactory performance. The project will explore G-quadruplex-directed therapeutic strategies such as telomere inhibition and regulation of gene expression using small molecule ligands with relevance to cancer biology.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Applicants should have (or be about to receive) a PhD in cell and molecular biology or other relevant area.
DESIRABLE: Chemistry or biochemistry at the BSc/MSc level as one of the subjects.
SALARY: Salary of Rs. 22,000 per month + 30% HRA
